The Daily Dish Below Deck

Captain Lee Rosbach Just Made Andy Cohen's Jaw Drop with These Below Deck Season 8 Spoilers

The Below Deck boss dishes on working with his new chief stew and the rest of the Season 8 crew.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Below Deck Season 8 cruises onto our screens on Monday, November 2 at 9/8c, and if the promise of the return of Eddie Lucas as bosun, new chief stew Francesca Rubi, and "a Below Deck first" doesn't have you excited already, Captain Lee Rosbach's spoilers on the new season surely will.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

Captain Lee appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on October 5, and he came bearing gifts in the form of some tantalizing teases of the new season, which you can view in the above clip.

For starters, the Below Deck boss dished on what it was like welcoming Eddie back to the crew after the bosun last appeared on the show in Season 3. "Gosh, it was like déjà vu all over again. It was great. It was great to have a familiar face. It worked, I think, because Eddie knew what he was getting in me," Captain Lee explained. "He didn't have to go through trials and tribulations in getting accustomed to a new captain, and I didn't have to go through the trials and tribulations of getting accustomed to a new bosun."

Host Andy Cohen then asked Captain Lee, "How does the new [chief] stew compare to Kate [Chastain]?"

"I'm not even gonna go there. Kate is always gonna have a very, very sweet spot in my heart because we worked together for a long period of time, and she was my right hand. There was nothing that I couldn't delegate to Kate that I just couldn't pass it off and walk away from it and know that it was gonna get done," Captain Lee shared. "To try and compare the both of them after just one season with Francesca is not being fair to Francesca."

But it's what Captain Lee said next that really shocked Andy. Captain Lee's thoughts on boatmances, new Below Deck chef Rachel Hargrove, and an upcoming incident with a charter guest had Andy — and all of us watching — picking our jaws up off the floor.

Below Deck Season 8 can't come soon enough!
