Here’s Your First Look at Bravo's New Series Dirty John
Bravo gives an eerie sneak peek at its forthcoming series, starring Connie Britton and Eric Bana.
If you've been on the edge of your seat for more news about Dirty John, Bravo's upcoming new series based on the true crime podcast Dirty John from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard, you're in luck. We have an exclusive first look at the series, which is set to premiere on Bravo later this year.
Take a look at the sneak peek above and be prepared for love, lies, hope, hate, family, fear, and more — as well as a great shot of the Southern California coastline.
As previously reported, actress Connie Britton has signed on to the series to play Debra Newell, a single mother and interior designer who falls for "Dirty John" aka John Meehan, to be played by Eric Bana. Both Britton and Bana will also serve as executive producers. Actress Jean Smart will play Debra's mother, Arlane, and Julia Garner (Ozark) and Juno Temple (Vinyl, Wonder Wheel, Black Mass) will play Debra's daughters Terra and Veronica, respectively.
Earlier this year, Bravo greenlit a two-season, straight-to-series order for the scripted show, which examines how Newell's romantic relationship with Meehan turned into a dark tale of deceit, manipulation, and survival for her whole family. Season 1 will focus on that story while Season 2 will be a different, self-contained story, with details to be announced at a later date.
