Cynthia Bailey Named Director of Miss Georgia Pageant
The 'RHOA' star returns to her roots as leader of two upcoming competitions.
She's making a grand return to pageantry!
The Miss Georgia United States pageant is set to take place May 16 through 17, and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey is acting as the 2015 director of the event, it was announced last week.
Cynthia is plenty familiar to beauty as a former supermodel, founder of The Bailey Agency School of Fashion, and pageant participant herself. And she looked the part when taking to her Instagram to announce her involvement with the competition.
Infants and young women up to the age of 39 are eligible to compete and must be residents of the state of Georgia. The lucky lady who's crowned winner will go on to represent Georgia in the 2015 Miss United States pageant in Washington DC.
For those living outside of the Peach State, you're in luck—Cynthia has another pageant opportunity for you to take part in. Her Miss Renaissance Pageant is also going to be in Atlanta, but in December of this year.
"Miss Renaissance Pageant was founded to provide the unique opportunity for young African American women to compete in a positive environment as well as to encourage, empower and enlighten all young women in our community," the website states. Young ladies ages five to 18 are eligible to compete.
