After Jeff expressed his condolences, Cynthia replied: "Thank you so much. That kind of came out of nowhere, and that was that. Thank you [to] everyone [who] sent your well wishes for all of that."
Becoming reflective, Cynthia added: "It's a weird thing when you lose a parent. Although my dad and I weren't close in the end — we had some issues and whatever. When you lose a parent, it's a very tricky thing. It's almost like part of your universe just — even if you weren't close to them — something's kind of missing."
She added: "It took me a minute to just kind of sit with that, and so most of December, I sat with that and I feel really good now. But it was really tough."

Cynthia Bailey opens up about her life today
Back in December, Cynthia had shared an Instagram post that seemed to reflect her current state of mind. “Life is so precious," Cynthia wrote. "Live, love, [and] protect yourself from anyone or anything that does not add value or keeps you from living a peaceful existence.”
She added hashtags that spelled out love, life, reflection, and peace, among other words.
Cynthia Bailey shares an update on her daughter Noelle Robinson
On Jeff's podcast, Cynthia also shared some of her plans for her time in Los Angeles, where Jeff's show is based. "I am here for a couple of weeks," Noelle Robinson's mother said.
"[I'll be doing] just like work stuff, I haven't seen Noelle in a little bit so I'm going to spend some time with her, and, you know, just be out here. I haven't been out here all year."
Noelle moved into her Los Angeles home in 2022 and has lived there ever since. Back in August, Noelle posted a sweet video of Cynthia hanging out with her at her Los Angeles home. “Made her a matcha when she landed,” wrote Noelle. Perhaps it's time for another mother-daughter matcha.
