Dr. Wendy Osefo's Daughter Kamrynn Was Rushed to the Emergency Room
The RHOP cast member is feeling "thankful" that her 2-year-old is "making a full recovery."
Dr. Wendy Osefo is opening up about daughter Kamrynn's recent medical emergency.
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member recently shared a post on Instagram explaining her absence from The Real this week after she and Ashley Darby were scheduled to appear on October 28 as part of RHOP's Takeover Week of the daytime talk show. "One minute I’m headed to LA to be a guest on [The Real] and the next minute I have to rush my daughter to the Emergency Room," Wendy wrote on Thursday. "When life gives you lemons (no matter how bitter it is) you make a glass of lemonade."
In the second slide of the Instagram post, Wendy included a photo of herself comforting Kamrynn while in the hospital. Wendy didn't provide further details on why Kamrynn required medical attention, but fortunately, the 2-year-old is on the mend. "Thankful that my [Kamrynn] is making a full recovery, but spending a week in the ICU really puts life in perspective," Wendy shared. "Special thank you to the AMAZING doctors and nurses in the Pediatric ICU for making our stay as comfortable as possible. God is a healer."
She ended the post with several hashtags, including "#MommyMode," "#FamilyFirst," "#countYourBlessings," and "#NursesRock."
Wendy also showed love to the RHOP cast for their appearance on The Real this week. "[Good luck] to my RHOP sisters and [Ashley] for holding it down in my absence," she wrote in the post.
Many members of the Bravo family showed their support for Wendy and Kamrynn in the comments section of the Instagram post, including Candiace Dillard Bassett, Askale Davis, Cynthia Bailey, Jen Shah, and D'Andra Simmons.
Kamrynn turned 2 years old in July, a day that Wendy proudly commemorated on Instagram with a touching tribute post. "Happy 2nd Birthday to the little girl who has completely stolen my heart. There are no amount of words to express just how much I love you!! Just know that being your mommy is my greatest honor and I am so blessed to have given birth to the most caring, compassionate, kind little human," Wendy wrote alongside a photo of her and her daughter wearing matching custom gowns from Nigeria. "Love you beyond life! The world is yours baby girl. Happy Birthday [Kamrynn]."
Wendy later shared another photo of Kamrynn's birthday celebration, which also included husband Eddie Osefo and sons Karter and Kruz. "My whole heart in one picture," Wendy captioned the pic on Instagram. "Love my tribe."
Wendy also marked another milestone when Kamrynn had her first day of school in August. "Today, my baby girl [Kamrynn] started pre-school and I don’t know where time has gone. I literally just had her yesterday," Wendy wrote on Instagram, along with several photos of Kamrynn getting ready to head off to school. "Sending love to all our kiddies who are starting school and hugs to all parents who will be crying all day like me."
Of course, Wendy also shares her life with her family on RHOP, including a special moment in the October 24 episode in which she, her mom, and Kamrynn took part in a photo shoot for her Onyi Home Essentials line. "3 Generations. One of my favorite moments filming this season," Wendy recently said of one of the photos from that shoot on Instagram. "The past, the present [and] the future. I will cherish this picture FOREVER."
