Family Karma Returns for Season 2 With New Faces and New Relationships
Family Karma is back, and it's bringing the drama this June.
This summer just got a whole lot better. Family Karma returns for Season 2 on Wednesday, June 2 at 9/8c.
Anisha Ramakrishna, Amrit Kapai, Bali Chainani, Brian Benni, Monica Vaswani, Shaan Patel, and Vishal Parvani are all back for another season of fun in the Miami sun — with the occasional bit of relationship and family drama. They will be joined by newcomers Dillon Patel, who is Shaan's younger brother and Anisha's BFF, as well as Monica's childhood sweetheart-turned-current beau, Rish Karam.
As you can see, Monica and Brian are firmly in the friend zone, and he's got a new flame as well — who also just so happens to be named Monica. "Two Monicas. Will it be weird?" Vishal wonders in the above trailer. "Probably!"
Things don't appear to be going as smoothly for Vishal in the romance department these days. After their traditional Indian engagement ceremony in the Family Karma Season 1 finale, Vishal and Richa seem to be experiencing a rough patch in their relationship.
On the contrary, Amrit is still going strong with his boyfriend, Nicholas, having just moved in to their own place in Miami. We'll follow Amrit's journey as he seeks the blessing of the family matriarch before he can truly settle down with Nicholas.
Much of the Family Karma cast is trying to figure out what the future holds in Season 2, including Anisha, who has moved forward with freezing her eggs, and she hopes her family will support her life choices. Shaan is also thinking about what's next now that his girlfriend has finished law school and whether or not that includes getting married and starting a family.
Of course, the cast's loved ones will also be along for the ride. From Monica's desire to bring her estranged parents together to an upcoming tense moment among the aunties, there will be no shortage of fireworks among the families this season.
