The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughters are singing the praises of Teresa Giudice’s husband. Here’s why, plus find out how Joe Giudice feels about it.
Gia Giudice has always had kind things to say about her stepfather, Luis “Louie” Ruelas. In the clip above from BravoCon 2022, The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter declares: “I swear, [Louie] really does treat us like we’re one of his own. He does everything for me… He really does the world for us, and I really couldn’t ask for a better stepdad.”
Gia’s little sister Milania has also been a vocal member of Team Louie in the past. On the July 5 episode of Teresa Giudice’s podcast, Namaste B$tches, the high school student spilled the tea on what it’s like to have Louie as a stepdad.
“Louie is such a great stepdad. He really is. He’s an amazing stepdad,” she said. “Come on, you guys know [my dad] Joe [Giudice]. He’s Juicy Joe. Louie Ruelas shares a message for Gabriella Giudice
In an August 24 Instagram post, Louie shared a video of his trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan. He and Teresa visited the Midwestern town to drop Teresa’s daughter Gabriella off at the University of Michigan. While in town, the blended family checked out local restaurants, picked up a few doughnuts, and stopped by the campus bookstore for some personalized swag (more on that below).
In his caption, Louie shared a heartfelt sentiment for his stepdaughter. “Gabriella, Today begins your incredible journey here at University of Michigan,” he wrote. “Words cannot express how proud we all are of you. You are not only smart and creative, but also loving and so thoughtful. Today, as you start your freshman year at the University of Michigan pursuing your dreams in Finance [and] walking into this new Journey my heart swells with JOY [and] HAPPINESS for you.”
The post continued: “Remember, no matter where life’s journey takes you, your family always stands by your side, cheering you on every step of the way!! We believe in you Gabriella wholeheartedly!! Nothing means more to us than seeing you happy. [We] cannot wait to witness all the incredible things you will undoubtedly achieve! Love you Gabriella.”

In response to the heartfelt post, Teresa hopped into the comments to write, “You are the best stepdad ever.” Her daughters concurred. Gia wrote: “Awww I love this[,] best stepdad ever,” while Milania chimed in with “best stepdad.”
Joe Giudice weighs in on Luis from the Bahamas
Meanwhile, Joe had his own response to the post. It seems Louie and Teresa bought him a University of Michigan mug with his name on it. The proud papa, who lives in the Bahamas, re-shared Louie’s photo of his cup.
