Things are definitely in motion for Luis D. Ortiz, who shared on Thursday's (August 15) episode of Million Dollar Listing New York that he's expecting a daughter. That big update came along after he confirmed his return to NYC and real estate earlier this season. Luis, of course, stepped away from the Big Apple, working in real estate and appearing on MDLNY after Season 5, leaving fans to wonder how he was making money while on his sabbatical.

Well, fans, wonder no more, as he also revealed that information during this week's MDLNY. "When I left to Paris, [my longtime business associate] Ronita and I made a deal where I was not going to be involved directly in the company. Essentially, she was taking over, but since she was using my Rolodex of clients and my platform, I was getting 10 percent of everything that she made."

Earlier this season, Luis confirmed his move back to NYC, as well as his plans to start selling real estate again and on this week's MDLNY, he proposed that he and Ronita step up their efforts as a team and try their hand at a partnership.

"First of all, I'm very, very proud of Ronita," he noted. "She's been doing a lot of deals. She's been recruiting some agents. She got herself a new assistant... we can actually be much better as a team."

While Ronita was quick to point out that "while you were away I've kind of been running the show," adding that she was "confused" about his choice to return, the duo still discussed a possible bigger partnership going forward.

"I think we've established a very legitimate business," he said. "Perhaps we can sort of find a way to partner up for real, like we've always dreamed of."

In an interview, Luis gushed about his pal and business associate: "Once I see Ronita, it almost feels like I never left. She's a light. Ronita is a light. It's nice to have someone like that in your life."
