All the Reasons We Love Gregg Leakes

NeNe Leakes recently announced that her beloved husband, Gregg Leakes, has been diagnosed with cancer. But in typical NeNe fashion, The Real Housewives of Atlanta pal is prepared to stand up to the disease, and is determined to see her husband through to the other side.

How to Watch

"The fight begins," the fashion expert wrote on June 13, when she updated fans on Gregg's condition. And, she wasn't kidding. NeNe's efforts to cure her husband have included taking on a new approach to home cooking, which she shared with fans on June 28.

Posting a photo of herself and Gregg in their Atlanta kitchen, the Swagg boutique owner wrote: "We cooked in the kitchen today and the menu was all ALKALINE based foods! Get into it cancer patients." She added a hash tag that spelled out: "fighting cancer together."

Diets that are high in alkaline typically involve eating lots of veggies, such as beets and kale, and steering clear of acidic foods, such as sugar and yogurt.
