We Have a Major Update on Brian Benni and Monica Shah's Relationship
Family Karma's Brian shared an update on his dating life these days.
Season 2 of Family Karma followed Brian Benni and his romantic relationship with Monica. Well, Monica Shah, that is.
Brian was pretty open about his feelings for his girlfriend, even early on in the season, sharing that it was his longest relationship to date and that the relationship was "intense" because they lived in different cities and it meant they had to really take advantage of the time they spent together.
Brian also chatted with his mom about the romance. "I love her, I do," he told mama Dharma. His dad, Mike, had also been there for his son to offer some advice. But, Brian noted that he had some worries about the relationship due to their different kinds of careers (he works in IT and Monica's a doctor). As fans saw, the couple did face some tensions amid their romance. As Season 2 of Family Karma wrapped up on July 28, Brian shared with his friends in the season finale that he was unclear about the future.
Well, Brian appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to offer an update, and it was in Wednesday's show that Brian confirmed that he and Monica had broken up. "I am single. We tried to get through all the ups and downs, and in February of 2021, I broke up with her and it is what it is, and I'm now single," he told a shocked Andy Cohen, who responded with, "Wow, there you go."
During WWHL, Brian was also asked by a fan to share his thoughts on his mom sharing in the Season 2 finale her reservations about his relationship. Calling his mom a "passionate woman" whose advice he takes when it feels right, Brian noted that "it didn't make me feel bad, just gives you a little bit of perspective."
In other Brian news, he does have a special someone in his life as he recently got a dog Luna and shared a sweet snap with her to Instagram.
