Tom Schwartz Has a Surprising Reaction to James Kennedy and Ally Lewber's House: "Bit of a Sting"

Tom explains his mixed feelings about his Vanderpump Rules castmates' new home.

By Abby Feiner

Tom Schwartz moved into a new apartment in 2022, and as you can see in the video above, he's finally feeling settled there. However, it's still a bit hard for him to see James Kennedy and Ally Lewber's new house.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

On Season 11, Episode 2 of Vanderpump Rules, Tom visited James and Ally at their Burbank abode. While he immediately complimented the gorgeous home, he also admitted to having mixed feelings about it after his own move out of the house he once shared with Katie Maloney.

"Seeing the joy that this new home is bringing James and Ally, it's hard not to feel a little bit of a sting from losing my dream home," he shared in an interview during the episode, which aired on February 6. "A little sting from pride says, 'You used to be a homeowner, Tom. Maybe you'll never be one again. You loser.'"

On the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 After Show, Tom shared more about why it was initially so emotional for him to move into his current apartment. "I try not to bitch too much," he said. "I'm grateful to have an apartment and a roof over my head, but aside from all the sadness with getting divorced, going from a beautiful dream home, like, your sanctuary where you're the [king] of your castle and kind of being relegated back into an apartment, it really sucked."

Still, Tom has been happy to celebrate James and Ally's exciting new chapter in their house. On the show's Season 11 premiere, Tom gave James a gift. "Being a new homeowner, you're going to become obsessed with plants," he said. "I got you a little Monstera."

"By the way, also, when you become a homeowner, you will develop a borderline fetish and obsession with candles," Tom continued, handing James a candle. "Can you dig it?"

During Tom's visit to James and Ally's house in Episode 2, he arrived with another plant for the couple, this time giving them an African milk tree. As Tom explained on the Vanderpump Rules After Show, having an abundance of plants in his own new place helped him get settled. "Somehow made it feel more like a home," he shared.
