Kristen’s Boyfriend Luke Confronts Jax About Their Friendship Status: “I’ll Do My Best to Unblock You”
“Am I still blocked or can we be friends?” Luke Broderick asked Jax Taylor at a golf outing.
Luke Broderick may be Kristen Doute’s new man, but not everyone is feeling it. A new preview clip of The Valley’s first episode reveals Jax Taylor “blocked” Kristen’s beau. But why do Jax and Luke have problems?
Luke confronted Jax about the status of their friendship during a guys outing to a virtual driving range as the men tried, and sometimes failed, to perfect their drives.
“So, Jax, am I still blocked?” Luke suddenly asked Jax.
“Huh?” Jax replied.
“Am I still blocked or can we be friends?” Luke continued.
Jax feigned confusion as Jason Caperna, Danny Booko and Jesse Lally looked on.
“Are you blocked?” he asked.
“I don’t know,” Luke replied. “I was at one point.”
“You tell me. Let’s see if you are and let me know and I’ll do my best to unblock you,” Jax noncommittally told him as Danny gave Jax a look.
Why aren't Jax Taylor and Luke Broderick friends?
There’s no word yet on what caused the tension between Luke and Jax to begin with, but it seems that Luke may be struggling to find his footing within the close-knit group of guys.

Kristen and Luke began dating in June 2022 after meeting at a wedding, not long after Kristen publicly announced her split from ex-boyfriend Alex Menache. By all indications, however, it’s a serious romance. The couple hosts the podcast Sex, Love and What Else Matters with Kristen Doute together and have been openly trying to have a baby.
While Kristen is clearly happy with her man, Luke is still working on establishing a relationship with her friends.
Jesse joked he thought Luke was just going to be a “side piece” in a confession before realizing the actual term he was searching for was “a rebound.”
“I think Luke’s over his head with the boys,” Jesse revealed.
Jason also confessed that Luke was the guy he knew the least.
“I just met him about a year ago,” he explained. “At parties sometimes we’ll talk and, you know, he’s a pretty introverted guy.”
We'll have to wait for The Valley premiere episode to see why Jax blocked Luke on social media. Still, brewing tension aside, the guys had a good time swinging clubs and talking trash.
“That is one of the worst shots I’ve ever seen in my life,” Jesse told Jax after one drive.
While Jax insisted they were “all just kind of the same, just depending on the weather” in terms of skill level, that definitely wasn’t how everyone saw it.
“I am the worst golfer i’ve ever been, but I’m still the number one golfer in the group,” Jesse boasted, before adding, “I think after losing limbs, I still am a better golfer than Jax.”
