Kristen Doute Reveals That She and Her Boyfriend Luke Experienced a "Terrifying" Miscarriage
Vanderpump Rules alum Kristen Doute shared her hopes for "a very healthy pregnancy" in the future.
Vanderpump Rules' Kristen Doute is opening up about a difficult experience her and her boyfriend, Luke Broderick, recently experienced.
The couple shared on the November 26 episode of Kristen's podcast, Sex, Love, and What Else Matters with Kristen Doute, that they experienced a miscarriage at six weeks.
Explained Luke, "I genuinely can't believe that we're putting this out there on the podcast, but I feel like for our listeners to understand where we are mentally and how difficult it is to talk about anything else, we have to kinda get this out there. We find out that Kristen's pregnancy is not viable pregnancy."
Kristen Doute Opens Up on Her Miscarriage
After sharing some of the details of their devastating discovery, Kristen explained why she wanted to speak so openly up about what she experienced. "I only feel comfortable talking about this because I know so many friends of mine have gone through this," she said. "Or, I know so many women have been through this."
What's more, "It's really f-cking terrifying because you always think, 'What's wrong? What did I do wrong? Could I have done something different?' And my doctor and my friends have told me, inside and out, up and down, that there's no reason — you can Google it 'til the day you die — there is literally no cause," Kristen continued. "They don't know why."
Kristen Doute and Boyfriend Luke Broderick's Plans to Start a Family
Amid the heartbreaking, Kristen is trying her best to look at the bright side of things. As she put it, "The only silver lining, the fact that we've now been digesting this for the last four or five days, is that I know once Luke and I are past this, we can try again."
"And we were very lucky and very fortunate that we got pregnant so quickly," she added. "We were so, so lucky because it could have gone a different way for me at my age."
Up until this point, Kristen noted that she hasn't tried in vitro fertilization (IVF) or frozen her eggs. "I haven't done anything ... I just think there's something in God's plan," she concluded. "I think that this was just a really unfortunate thing that happened to us and it's just god's plan, man. And I know that we can try fairly soon and that I think we're very hopeful to have a very healthy pregnancy next time around."
