Following his announcement in late January that he and his partner of 10 years, Gage Edward, had decided to separate, Jeff revealed during the March 12 episode of his Radio Andy show Jeff Lewis Live that he has gone on a few dates with a chiropractor, who he has agreed not to name. “I had my third date with the chiropractor this weekend,” Jeff said, as reported by PEOPLE. “I can’t say what happened because that’s a boundary that I’m not allowed to cross.”

The Flipping Out designer said that he is not going to be as much of an open book when it comes to the details of this new relationship. He said that he and his suitor have "a rule" that “anything romantic or sexual stays between us.”

Jeff said that he didn't "want to be a high maintenance pain in the ass" during his most recent date with the chiropractor because he didn't want "to scare him off." “I don’t want to be high maintenance. I want to be an accommodating guy,” he shared. “I don’t want him to know yet how high maintenance I really am. He needs to fall in love first before he realizes how I really am. We all do that. In three months, I will be real Jeff. But right now, I am fake Jeff.”

Still, Jeff said that he and the chiropractor had a "great date," and they already have a fourth date slated for Sunday.

Jeff previously shared on his radio show that he started to dabble in online dating after he heard that Gage went on a date less than a week after they called it quits. Later that month, Jeff and Gage officially broke up after it was clear that they both wanted to see other people. “I sat him down and I said, ‘Look, I need to move on now,’ because he’s moved on, because he’s dating the homewrecker,” Jeff said, referring to the man Gage began seeing after their separation.

Putting an official end to the relationship appeared to do Jeff some good. “I actually feel good," he said. "I feel like I’m getting some closure.”
