Jeff Lewis Just Shared an Exciting Update on His Plans to Have Another Baby
The Flipping Out designer opens up about where he is in the process of welcoming a second child via surrogate.
Jeff Lewis' dream of having another baby may soon become a reality. The Flipping Out designer shared an update on his plans to grow his family during the December 12 Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
During the WWHL After Show, which you can check out above, a member of the virtual audience asked Jeff for an update on where he is in the surrogacy process and whether or not he has decided to give daughter Monroe, 5, a brother or a sister. "I can't decide. I have two embryos. One is a male, one is female," Jeff said. "I've been matched with a surrogate, she has gone through all the testing. We're in the contract phase right now. And I'm hoping I can be pregnant by January or February."
Host Andy Cohen suggested that Jeff have a son this time around since he is already dad to a daughter. "I, honestly, I want them both," Jeff shared. "And not at the same time, but I want them both."
What Jeff knows for sure right now is that, after experiencing the joys of fatherhood with Monroe, he definitely wants to expand his family. "It's life-changing. I love, love, love being a dad. It's my favorite thing," Jeff gushed. "It's changed my life, so I do, I want more kids."
Jeff welcomed his first child, Monroe, with his then-partner Gage Edward in 2016. After their split in 2019, Jeff and Gage continued to co-parent Monroe, experiencing some ups and downs as they tried to figure out a custody arrangement for their daughter. Jeff and Gage ultimately settled their custody agreement in May, and they even came together to celebrate Monroe's graduation in June.
Since then, Jeff has been making "precious memories" with Monroe, as you can see in their visit to the Golden Gate Bridge over the summer, below.
Oh, and we can confirm that Monroe is looking absolutely adorable (and so grown up!) these days, as evidenced by the below cute pic of his daughter Jeff shared on Instagram in September.
