Jeff Lewis Confirms Zoila Chavez’s Sister Now Works for Him
The Flipping Out designer also shared what Zoila is doing these days.
Jeff Lewis is keeping it in the family. Two years after he and longtime employee/housekeeper Zoila Chavez parted ways, the Flipping Out designer confirmed that her sister is now employed by him. “Her sister works for me now,” he shared on his SiriusXM show.
He then confirmed that Zoila splits her time with six months in Los Angeles where her daughter lives, and the other half of the year in Nicaragua. He also shared that he hasn't spent much time with Zoila as of late: “It’s funny, I was just talking to her sister because I haven’t seen her in a while. I want her to come by and see the baby,” he said, referring to his 3-year-old daughter, Monroe, whom he shares with ex-partner Gage Edward.
Just last October, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he opened up about how he and Zoila have kept in touch following her retirement. "I just texted her this weekend," he shared in 2018 in the Clubhouse. "In fact, I think we're gonna have dinner pretty soon."
Zoila and Jeff worked together for many, many years before she stepped away from working for the interior designer in 2017. At the time, he opened up about her decision to stop working for him in an episode of Flipping Out. "For years, she has wanted to retire. I've just overlooked it and I ignored it," he said during an episode at the time. "But she stayed for me."
