Jo Wenberg Claps Back at Haters and Defends Friendship with Schwartz: "I'm Good"
The Vanderpump Rules friend of Tom Schwartz took to Instagram to defend herself after her Season 11 appearance.
Jo Wenberg isn't shying away from speaking about her relationship with close friend, sometimes hook-up buddy, and one-time roommate, Vanderpump Rules' Tom Schwartz.
Schwartz introduced Jo, his "good dear friend" to James Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, during VPR Season 11 Episode 7. The foursome sat down with one another during a night out at SUR where they exchanged introductions. "She's a badass hair stylist, she's from Wisconsin, and that's about it," Tom told Ally.
However, some people, like Tom's ex-wife, Katie Maloney, were not as excited about Jo's introduction to the group. In the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 midseason trailer, Katie called Jo a "f—ing liar." But Jo hasn't been phased by this, recently taking to her Instagram account to defend herself.

Jo Wenberg defends her friendship with Tom Schwartz
ICYMI, Jo took to her Instagram Story over the weekend where she provided some more insight into what it's been like to be open about her friendship with Tom.
"OK, so I'm so happy that you guys have been very receptive to a woman posting about a male friendship — [with] Tom Schwartz," she said in the video. "We were there for each other in moments that I can't even explain. And I'm going to be honest, it's so nice that there's actually a place, like Instagram, to be able to post about somebody that influenced your life in a positive way."
The hairstylist then sent a message to the people who have been supportive and to the people who have been critical of her. "And the people that have been, like, 'Yes! It's OK to be friends with a guy.'...You know, I really appreciate you," she added. "The hate, I don't. But at the end of the day, I'm good."
As Tom said during VPR Season 11 Episode 7: "Jo is not everyone's cup of tea, but she's a great....cup of tea."
Jo Wenberg to appear on the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion
Jo will be able to give more context to her friendship with Tom at the upcoming Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion, where she will be making an appearance. There might be just a few things for her to clear up after her appearance in Episode 7, where neither her or Tom were on the same page about their relationship.
"I think we really did catch feelings for each other," Jo explained in a confessional during the episode. "And I'm pretty sure they're still there."
"Now it's more platonic, Tom explained in his confessional. "We, like, re-established boundaries and we just hang out. We kick it and um, we're friends. I hope she's not mad at me for this."
