Teresa Giudice's father visited Joe in Sala Consilina ahead of her arrival with the girls.
Teresa Giudice announced the passing of her father, Giacinto Gorga, known to fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey as Nonno, on Friday, April 3. Teresa's estranged husband, Joe Giudice, whom she is currently in the process of divorcing, paid tribute to his father-in-law on Instagram following the news of his death. "My [father-in-law was a great man. He made sure that everyone in his family was provided for, because he loved them so much," he wrote.
Over the weekend, Joe reflected on Giacinto's last trip to Italy to see him after Joe was released from ICE custody. Giacinto flew to his hometown of Sala Consilina, Italy to see Joe ahead of Teresa and her daughters last fall, and it appears he definitely had a great time reconnecting with family and friends, as Joe shared in a series of Instagram flashbacks to his trip.
"The first time I saw him in [3 1/2 years] . Glad I had a chance to bring him back to life[.] Good Man," Joe captioned a photo of him welcoming his father-in-law to Italy.
"1st night in Sala Consilina my father-in-law home town 30 years since he has been here glad I had the chance to bring him everywhere he wanted to visit," Joe wrote alongside a video of their family welcoming Giacinto in Italy.
"2nd day in Italy. [I]t was a joy to see him enjoy himself[.] He was a great [friend] and father-in-law. [I've known] this man my whole life," Joe shared, showing that Giacinto enjoyed himself with some wine and card games on the trip.
