Andy Cohen once tried to set up his bestie John Mayer on a date and it didn't work out, which was probably good news for Katy Perry, who later had an on-again, off-again relationship with the songwriter.

How to Watch

Tune in to WWHL on Bravo Sunday through Thursday and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

John has said that his most recent single "Still Feel Like Your Man" is about her. "Who else would I be thinking about?" he asked a New York Times reporter in March.

While on location with Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in Los Angeles, Andy told Entertainment Tonight that most of John's current album The Search for Everything was recorded when he was dating (and subsequently breaking up with) Katy, and the influence is clear. "He wrote the album over a period of at least a year, a couple years I think. So it was while he was either in the relationship with her or breaking up with her," Andy told ET. "I think if you listen to it, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize who he's talking about for some of the songs."

But would Andy like to see this couple reunite, even at the risk of losing time with John at gay clubs and on bromantic road trips? "Anything that makes them both happy," he said. "I mean it!"
