They're back! And the ladies of Xscape are here to let you in on their highly-anticipated reunion. Bravo has greenlit a four-part special, Xscape: Still Kickin’ It (working title), coming in the fall. The foursome, which features The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, announced reunion plans earlier this year, tied to the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha.
Before their sudden split the ladies had amassed three consecutive platinum albums, with six of their top-ten songs hitting the Billboard 100. Oh, they also became one of the most recognizable and influential girl groups of the '90s thanks to their unique style both musically and in the fashion department. And now they are ready to bring that magic back to life by reuniting.
“We are so excited to team up with Bravo and give our fans an up-close-and-personal look into our lives as we get ready for Essence Fest!” Xscape said in a statement. “This process has been a whirlwind with so many ups and downs, but we are loving every minute of being back together, and cannot wait to share the love, laughs, and craziness with you all!”
The series will take fans inside the group as they try to put their past behind them after nearly two decades and see if they can make beautiful music together again, culminating in their performance at Essence’s 2017 Festival.
