Here's How Hannah Ferrier Feels About Her Vegas Dinner Advice to Kiko Lorran Today
The Below Deck Med chief stew explains how she would have tackled that now-famous meal.
Chef Hindrigo "Kiko" Lorran's Las Vegas-themed dinner this season of Below Deck Mediterranean will go down as one of the biggest menu missteps in Below Deck history. But Hannah Ferrier, who helped Kiko plan the meal, is shedding some new light on the dinner in the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5 After Show.
The chief stew explained that guests usually "put all the fancy stuff" on their preference sheets before they come on board the yacht for the charter. "These guests, none of them had those things on their preference sheet," Hannah recalled. "All of the stuff that you actually saw on that table [during the Vegas dinner], they had on their preference sheet."
Hannah went on to describe how she would have handled the Vegas dinner if she were the chef, noting a different way of presenting the food. "I think there was ways to do that kind of theme, and that wasn't it," Hannah said of Kiko's handling of the meal.
When it comes to the advice she gave Kiko, Hannah said that she was just doing what she thought was best at the time. "I'm so sad it didn't work out, because I wanted Kiko to stay more than anyone on that boat," Hannah shared. "In some ways, I wish I hadn't given him advice, but I know that it was coming from a good place. I was trying to help him."
