Meghan King Edmonds Reunites with Her Children During Stay in California
Estranged husband Jim Edmonds got them ready to see The Real Housewives of Orange County alum.
Meghan King Edmonds and estranged husband Jim Edmonds are committed to co-parenting their three children (daughter Aspen, 3, and twin sons Hart, 1, and Hayes, 1), even if they aren't living in the same state right now.
Jim shared on Instagram on December 12 that he was getting Aspen, Hart, and Hayes ready to see their mom on the West Coast. "The littles are getting big," Jim said of how quickly his kids are growing up. "Headed to Cali to see mommy and get Hart a little bit more treatment."
Meghan has sought treatment in California for Hart's "brain damage" in connection with his minor Periventricular Leukomalacia diagnosis earlier this year. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum revealed earlier this week that she is now staying in a "long term rental," while Jim moved into their newly-completed mega-mansion in St. Louis, Missouri by himself last month.
Meghan got her rental ready just in time to welcome her kids to the new place. "I cannot wait to see my kids," she said in her Instagram Story.
The RHOC alum was overjoyed to be reunited with Aspen, Hart, and Hayes when she picked them up from the airport later that day, along with her mom and sister, who accompanied them to California. She joked that the whole situation was a "hot mess express." "It takes a village," Meghan said in her Instagram Story. "I feel really bad. I think it was a rough flight."
But it looks like Meghan's kids were in very good spirits by the time they got to the house, considering the fact that several toys were out and had been played with. Aspen even got up bright and early the next morning to create a gingerbread house, according to Meghan's Instagram Story.
Meghan and Jim reportedly reached a custody agreement in November, giving them 50/50 custody of their three children. Their marital drama has played out in the public eye over the past couple of months after Jim reportedly filed for divorce after five years of marriage in October amid infidelity rumors.
Meghan told Us Weekly earlier this month that she has “really high hopes for the future, in every way," especially when it comes to co-parenting with Jim moving forward. “I think the new year especially, and the new decade, is a great way to kind of launch positive thinking and the law of attraction,” she said. “I don’t know. New beginnings are huge, so I’m looking forward to that.”
