Nene Leakes Shares an Emotional Update on Gregg's Cancer Battle

According to several outlets, Nene Leakes shared an emotional update on Gregg Leakes' cancer battle over the weekend. Nene reportedly told the crowd at The Linnethia Lounge that "my husband is transitioning to the other side" after sharing earlier this summer that his cancer had returned.

Over the weekend, she reportedly confirmed the latest update on Gregg's health, saying that her "husband is losing" his battle with cancer. "Sometimes you don't know what people are dealing with and what people are going through, OK?" she said during the appearance at her club, which she noted she was making because "we had to walk in this lounge because this is our business." She added, "My husband is not going to be here in the next couple of days, OK?"

Nene seemed to address the update on Instagram as well on Sunday (August 29) posting a message that simply read, "Broken."

The news comes just months after Nene confirmed that Gregg's cancer had returned. Gregg first shared his Stage 3 colon cancer in 2018 and since then Nene and Gregg have been open about his journey. In September 2019, he appeared on The Wendy Williams Show with Nene and confirmed that, at that time, he was cancer-free. In June, Nene offered the update on Gregg's cancer returning and later in July confirmed he had been released from the hospital after a lengthy stay.
