Peter Thomas' Daughter Welcomes Her Twins and Cynthia Bailey Couldn't Be More Excited
The new mom also addressed backlash for posting a pic of her baby bump days prior.
A big mazel goes out to Peter Thomas, who is officially a granddad. His daughter, Porsche Thomas, and her husband, motivational speaker Till H. Groß, welcomed twin boys on January 7, she confirmed on Instagram by posting an adorable photo of the newborn duo. "So grateful for this little family of mine. Meet August and Berlin, born 1/7/17 at 8:29am and 8:31am respectively. The loves of my life," she shared. The babies come less than a year after Porsche and Till married in March 2016.
And you can bet Porsche is already feeling the baby love. Peter's ex, The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Cynthia Bailey, sent her congrats to the new parents — and new grandpa — on Instagram. "The boys decided to come a little earlier! Congrats @porschethomas & hubby on your early delivery. Looks like @peterthomasrhoa is officially a granddad today," she said. "Can't wait to meet them."
However, in the days before giving birth, Porsche commented on feeling bullied by followers after she posted a photo of herself with her bare baby bump proudly on display.
She shut down the hate with a sassy Instagram post — that once again showed off her bump. "While some of y'all been in my comments criticizing the blackness that is my belly and me during what shoulda been your holiday cheer, I been over here enjoying life, growing tiny humans, performing miracles and hopefully getting even blacker," she said.
Porsche also addressed the online criticism in an interview with BET during which she clapped back at anyone who felt the need to comment on her body or appearance. "I guess I would ask [the haters], 'How does it benefit you to make somebody feel bad about themselves?' That's something I really want people to think about," she said. "What purpose does it serve to share a negative thought with a person you don't know and, on top of that, to be a pregnant woman? What do they gain from it?"
She also credited her parents for her confidence in herself. "Growing up, my father constantly told me I was beautiful. My mother, as a single black mother, I just watched her be a strong black woman. She didn’t complain. We had everything we needed. I watched my mom as a black woman who was single do her thing and that gave me confidence," she said. "I grew up with a very strong black woman in my life."
You can also keep up with Peter and Cynthia every Sunday at 8/7c when a new episode of RHOA airs. Check out a highlight from this season, below.
