Kenya Moore Said This Moment from the RHOA Premiere "Reek[ed] of Desperation"

She also revealed what Martell's Instagram DM said, and she teased that there will be plenty more drama with Shereé's beau.

Kenya Moore did not find this moment from The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 premiere to be gone with the wind fabulous.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

During a post-premiere appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on May 7, the Kenya Moore Hair Care founder sounded off on the drama that took place between Kandi Burruss and Season 15 friend Courtney R. Rhodes on the debut episode.

In case you need a refresher, the Grammy Award winner and the jewelry designer exchanged words at Aaron Ross' 40th birthday party when Courtney accused Kandi of "calling around asking some people about me.” Kandi said that she heard that Courtney was saying that they were friends, which wasn't the case. The episode ended before Courtney and Kandi could finish their heated discussion, but Kenya has some thoughts on the matter.

"It was so silly and trite, and it was just — it reeked of desperation," Kenya said about whether she thinks the argument should have been as "big of a deal" as it was.

Kenya also told Andy Cohen that she was surprised that Kandi had such a strong reaction to what Courtney said. "Because [Kandi] could have just squashed it..." she explained. "Because it was clear [Courtney] was trying to make a moment out of it."

The disagreement between Courtney and Kandi wasn't the only drama that went down at Aaron's birthday party.

After revealing that Shereé Whitfield's new man, Martell Holt, had once sent her a direct message (DM) on Instagram about two years earlier, Kenya and the Love and Marriage: Huntsville cast member exchanged words themselves in the closing seconds of the premiere. (Fans will have to tune in to Episode 2 to find out what exactly happened between the pair).

Though Kenya is a self-proclaimed shade assassin, she said that she was "just being a friend and being honest and transparent" when she mentioned the DM to Shereé at the birthday party. She also didn't think that it was a "big deal" that he had messaged her, since he had done so before he started seeing Shereé.

"I didn't remember exactly how long ago it was, but I didn't want someone else telling her," Kenya said on WWHL. "I wanted her to hear it from me."

She then revealed the context of the direct message for the first time. "Yeah, it was just something — it was an attempt to open a door..." Kenya said.

While Kenya acknowledged that things got heated with Martell, she said that she's not the only one he'll be having drama with on Season 15.

"I mean, I think it goes left with him and a lot of people very quickly, all the time," she teased about what viewers can expect to see from Shereé's new man.
