Erika Jayne Just Shared a Major Update About Her Singing Career
The "Painkillr" singer teased that she's working on an "amazing" project in Las Vegas, and she revealed that her new music will be "no holds barred."
During Billboard's Women in Music 2023 awards gala in Los Angeles on March 1, the "Pretty Mess" singer and her attorney, Dina LaPolt, teased that Erika will be spending some time in Sin City in the near future.
"I can't tell you a lot other than..." Erika told E! News about what's next for her, before directing her next comment to her lawyer. "What can you tell us?"
The entertainment lawyer said that Erika's upcoming project is going to "be in Las Vegas and it's gonna be amazing." Dina added that the mystery plan is "going to feature Erika," and "it's going to be original and we're building it."
While chatting with Entertainment Tonight, the ladies were asked if the aforementioned Las Vegas project would be a residency. Dina responded that it was "to be determined, but yes."
The ladies also teased that Erika will soon be dropping some new music, and that the "world is [going] to be taken back by storm when they see the show [they're] building."
"It looks great; it looks fabulous, and stay tuned because it's going to be amazing," Erika added.
Back in 2022, Erika chatted with The Daily Dish about her upcoming plans to release more music.
"I was just in the studio. So I'm back making music. And that means we'll be back to making visuals and shows. It's pretty strong," she said. "It's kind of like my punk rock era without being punk rock about it. It's kind of no holds barred."
Erika last dropped a single, "Cars," in 2018. In addition touring in the past with her original music, Erika also gained live performing experience when she played the part of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway in 2020.
Fans will have to stay tuned to find out what exactly Erika will be doing in Las Vegas.
