Craig Conover Explains Why He Didn’t Join Paige DeSorbo on Her Recent Trip to Italy
The Southern Charm cast member revealed why he wasn’t with his GF during the trip, while Shep reflected on a trip with Taylor where “everyone” thought he was going to propose.
When Paige DeSorbo recently jetted off to Italy for what looked like a luxurious and glamorous trip abroad, her special someone, Southern Charm’s Craig Conover, was noticeably absent from the Instagrams she posted, which featured her taking in beautiful landscapes and looking fabulous while doing it. And now we know why.
“They wanted to do one last family trip without me,” Craig recently explained to The Daily Dish about the Summer House cast member’s getaway, during which she posted many, many FOMO-inducing moments on Instagram. “And her parents are like, ‘Well, I guess Craig’s gonna stick around, so let’s go do one more trip.’”

Speaking of trips abroad, during the same conversation with The Daily Dish, Craig was joined by Shep Rose, who reflected on a trip he and GF Taylor Ann Green went on earlier this year that led some people in their lives to think they were ready to take the next step.
“Taylor and I went to Europe for 19 days in March,” he said. “It was a lot of fun, and she had never been over there. We went to Dubai. And then we met Naomie [Olindo] in France, in Nice. We flew from Dubai and then we flew from there to Venice. And then we went to Milan and Rome and Florence.”
“I thought you were gonna propose,” Craig noted when he saw the pair on their lavish getaway, to which Shep responded, “Well, I mean, everyone did.”
“Well, I guess you have to be able to go to Europe and people not think you’re gonna propose,” Craig added.
Shep shared that the trip was definitely a bonding experience, regardless. “The best way you can figure out whether you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, which sounds so crazy to even say out loud, but you know, that’s the deal, is to travel and go to places that are hard to get to and hard to get out,” he said. “And you really see what people are made of, you know?”
