#SouthernCharm Cast Raises Over $17,000 For Charleston
Get the details on how the cast is helping their hometown.
When the Southern Charm cast gathered on Sunday night (July 19) for a charity event to raise funds following the June shooting at the Emanuel AME in Charleston, you could say it was a success. The night, which included dinner at J.D. Madison's restaurant, Sermet's Downtown and entertainment, raised $17,500 with all proceeds going to the Community United Fund, according to local reports. The fund guarantees that the money goes directly to each individual family affected by the tragedy.
The night included appearances from Southern Charm stars including J.D., Shep Rose, and Landon Clements, who spoke to the Daily Dish ahead of the big night. "In my opinion Charleston has really banded together following the tragedy," Shep said. "It's been amazing to see people showing their sympathy and support."
