Here's Why Sutton Purchased $68,000 Earrings as She Spills On Where She Stands with Her Ex Today
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Sutton Stracke made the purchase for a very big reason as she spills more details about her ex-husband.
Sutton Stracke's ups and downs have been documented on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Throughout Season 13, viewers have watched her as she coped with taking a friendship break from Kyle Richards, mourned the loss of her father who died in 2002, and spread the ashes of her longtime late friend, Merce Cunningham, on a trip to Spain.
But now, Sutton has a reason to celebrate her life with a new pair of earrings, as seen in a preview for the RHOBH Season 13 finale (airing Feb. 21) in the video above.

Sutton Stracke's $68,000 Earrings in RHOBH Season 13 Finale
In the preview for the RHOBH Season 13 finale, Sutton took her daughter, Porter Stracke, home from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, to Martin Katz in Beverly Hills for a little shopping trip.
"This is such a special day for me," Sutton said in the clip. "I've got Porter home from school, I have had my store for four years, and it survived a pandemic."
After browsing with Martin for a little bit, Sutton picked out a pair of $68,000 tear drop-shaped earrings made with sapphires and diamonds (much like the one she holds in the RHOBH intro).
"I really want to celebrate this new, strong, independent woman," she explained. "And I want to show Porter that as women, we can do this."

This shopping trip was also symbolic for Sutton because her ex-husband, Christian Stracke, used to be the one who would buy her jewelry. "In my previous life, asking permission was not fun," she said during a confessional. "This is like freedom," she added. "I can do whatever I want and there is no guilt about it."
Sutton continued to open up about her personal struggles since getting a divorce from Christian in 2016 after getting married in 2000.
"I think all of my children saw me sink a little," Sutton explained during a confessional. "And I really want all of them, but especially Porter, to see me thriving. And not see me being a cliche of a wealthy woman, sitting around planning galas in a muumuu with bonbons."
"Porter, we don't do that. We go to work."
Sutton is not only trying to be a good example for Porter, but her two sons — James and Philip Stracke — whom she shares with Christian.
In a conversation with Porter at the jewelry store, Sutton opened up to her daughter about regaining her independence, especially after Christian moved to London for work after their divorce.
"When we got married, I kind of lost my independence a little bit," she explained. "And now, you know, I can't believe what I've been able to do."
During the premiere of RHOBH Season 13, Sutton talked about losing her equal footing with her ex after she got pregnant with their first child. This caused her to depend on Christian for money and lose her sense of self. "My power diminished," she said during the episode. "This became, here's your allowance."
With this life experience, Sutton provided her only daughter with some solid advice in the Season 13 finale.
"I just want you to know, going forward in your life — keep your independence," Sutton said in the video above. "Fall in love. Have babies. And don't let that hard worker in you go."
In another moment, this time from the RHOBH After Show, Sutton shared more details about her ex's move to London and where they stand today. Find out what she shared, below.
