Todd Chrisley Was Hospitalized After Testing Positive for Coronavirus
Savannah Chrisley thanked Kim Zolciak-Biermann for her support during the health crisis.
Todd Chrisley confirmed that he recently tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) this week on his podcast, Chrisley Confessions, which he co-hosts with his wife, Julie Chrisley.
The Chrisley Knows Best star said he's been battling coronavirus for three weeks and had been hospitalized for four and a half days, but has since been released back home, according to PEOPLE.
“It has been the sickest that I have ever been in the 52 years I’ve been on this earth,” he said. “I cannot ever tell you a time in my life where I have ever been as sick as what I had been with the coronavirus.”
He added, "Hopefully, I will get better every day, but as of right now, folks, I still am not clicking on all cylinders. I am probably about 70 to 75 percent of what I normally I am, but that last 25 percent is kicking my ass," E! News reports.
His daughter, Savannah Chrisley, opened up about the diagnosis in a lengthy Instagram post, in which she also thanked family friend, Don't Be Tardy's Kim Zolciak-Biermann, for offering up her support, the outlet reported.
"Also y'all... @kimzolciakbiermann was a saint during this whole thing as well! If you didn't know...she used to be a nurse...so she gave me so many tips and helped to calm my nerves," Savannah wrote.
Kim replied, "God is good. so grateful he is feeling better."
Savannah went into great detail about her dad's experience with coronavirus on Instagram, and closed out her message by thanking the doctors and medical professionals who helped him in his recovery and expressing her love for her father.
"He’s my best friend...I also never go to bed a single night without a 'Goodnight and I love you' text. And now my dad was sitting in a hospital room by himself and I had no idea how he was. At one point I fell on my hands and knees and begged God to not take him, to not take my best friend. I would give everything I had if it meant keeping my daddy. I was so desperate that I dropped photos of our family off at the hospital and said 'If he sees these I know he’ll keep fighting!' So I guess the point of me telling u all this is so that [yo]u take it seriously...STAY HOME! SOCIAL DISTANCE! And most importantly..LOVE HARDER THAN EVER! Life is so short."
