Tom Schwartz’ Post-Divorce Dating Life: Jo Wenberg, Katie Flood, and More
The Vanderpump Rules cast member said it was "scary" to go on a date after his divorce — but faced his fears.
In the wake of Part 3 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, viewers were treated to a special "Secrets Revealed" episode. One of the secrets that was revealed on the episode — which aired on June 14, 2023 — was a surprising tidbit about newly single Tom Schwartz's dating life.
In the months since then, Tom has revealed more about dates he's gone on, what he's looking for, and his current relationship status. Read on to find out more.
Tom Schwartz's First Post-Divorce Date
When the cameras picked up for Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules, Katie Maloney and Tom had recently gotten divorced.
Tom's dating life then became a topic of discussion, first when he kissed a fellow cast member at Scheana Shay's wedding and then when he was living with roommate Jo Wenberg. But viewers didn't get to see him go on a date until the "Secrets Revealed" episode
After creating an online dating profile with the help of his close pal/business partner, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz matched with a woman named Kendall.
"Kendall, I met her on this dating app," Tom said in an interview on the episode. "We matched and we decided to take it to the next level."
In addition to the typical first date jitters, Tom was feeling worried because it had been "12 years since [he had] been on a date with someone other than Katie."

The pair met up for drinks, and Tom admitted that it was "scary" to meet someone online for the first time. He opened up to Kendall about his divorce, and about Katie's reaction to his kiss at their friends' wedding.
And while Tom may have overshared about his divorce during his date, Kendall took it all in stride. "Any sort of neuroses I had about going on a date dissipated when she walked in," Tom said in an interview about Kendall. "She's got this instantly likable aura, which is really nice when you're going on a date, especially coming out of a marriage."
After the date concluded, Tom reflected on dipping his toes back into the dating pool.
"I think it was a success," he said. "I had a great time. We laughed, she's super charming. We had a connection. You know, it'll always be my first date after my divorce."

During Part 1 of the Vanderpump Rules reunion, which aired on May 24, 2023, Tom confirmed that he had a "situationship" with his former roommate, Jo.
“It did evolve into a situationship, or like a friends-with-benefits thing with clearly defined boundaries,” Tom said about Jo, though he confirmed that they are not currently together. “We were both coming out of long-term relationships, and for a minute there, we were each other’s happy place."

Tom entered Season 3 of Winter House as a single man “ready for a much-needed escape to reconnect with himself,” according to his cast bio. But, he found himself surprised to be crushing on housemate, Katie Flood, as soon as he walked in the door.
The fact that she shares the same first name as his ex-wife — which he noted might be a problem — didn’t stop him from calling Katie Flood “a 10 out of 10” during Episode 2.
“Katie seems instantly likable,” Tom said in a confessional interview during the episode. “I mean, I’ve always been a sucker for an accent. I think she’s objectively beautiful.”
During an Episode 4 confessional, Tom shared that he was too much “in his own head” to make a move on Katie, and said their shared name felt like a “betrayal” of his ex-wife. Things changed, however, after a cast outing to a bar at the end of Episode 4, where grainy iPhone footage captured the two making out in a car.
He also ended up kissing Summer House’s Kyle Cooke during a game of “Message in a Bottle” at the house’s pirate themed party in Season 3 Episode 2.
Tom Schwartz revealed the trait that he finds the "sexiest" in a date
Maybe his future dates will involve cooking? During Winter House Season 3 Episode 4, Tom shared one of the things that he finds sexiest in a person is having them cook.
“Cooking is sexy, you have the sounds, the smells, the feels,” he declared while cooking a meal with his housemates.
Tom later shared his thoughts on cooking in a confessional. “[There’s] something about a man who can cook — or just anyone who can cook — it is sexy,” he said.
Is Tom Schwartz single?
Tom confirmed his current relationship status at the Vanderpump Rules cast panel at BravoCon 2023 on November 3, 2023.
“I am single and I’m just happy to not be spiraling anymore,” he said. “I feel like there’s some turbulence in my life, but I feel like I’m recalibrated. I feel good.”
And he is maybe still going on dates. Tom shared that he’s “maybe sometimes willing to mingle” but is single “for the most part.”
“I’m chilling,” he said.
He doesn't exactly sound over Katie Flood, though. During a November 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he talked about their kiss and told Andy, "She has this iconic, timeless look ... [she has] the essence of an early '90s supermodel.”
Tom added that she’s "sophisticated and very competent, but she has a great sense of humility."
Another note? "[She's] also she's very cosmopolitan [and] worldly. She's got a mystique about her,” the Minnesota native shared.
What has Katie Flood said about Tom Schwartz after their Winter House fling?
During a BravoCon 2023 panel, Katie revealed that she and Tom “still talk” to this day since leaving the shared house.
She followed up on those statements during a December 2023 appearance on WWHL, when she shared some more insight into their relationship.
"We're definitely friends," she said. "I think we have a very flirtatious and cheeky relationship. I will say I'm really happy we managed to keep it very light ... We're still are very happy to see each other, to be in each other's presence."
And that’s not all.
"I adore Schwartz, I love him, I think he's amazing and I'll only really have good things to say. Does he make some questionable decisions? Absolutely, but I think he's trying to learn and be better from that,” she added.
What does Tom Schwartz's ex-wife Katie Maloney think about his fling with Katie Flood?
Katie Maloney, however, had her own opinions on her ex-husband's hook-up.
During the "Dynamic Duos” episode of BravoCon LIVE! with Andy Cohen, she shared that she wasn’t surprised that Katie Flood had never seen an episode of Vanderpump Rules before hitting it off with Tom.
“Cause why would she [hook up with him] if she had, right?,” she joked.
Who is Tom Schwartz dating in Vanderpump Rules Season 11?
If the teaser trailer (which you can watch below) shows anything, it is that Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules is going to be a wild ride for Tom.
In the trailer, Schwartz can be seen dying his hair bleach blonde, turning himself into “Dad Bod Ken”, and making out with a woman with pink hair — who also has a thing for his ex-wife. “I have a crush on a divorced couple,” the mysterious woman says.
It seems like this will spark some competition between Schwartz and Katie. “I’ve never been in a love triangle before,” he explains in the trailer.
“May the best man win,” Katie says about the situation.
