Tracy Tutor and Boyfriend Erik Anderson Are “Taking a Break”: Details
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent also gave an update on her and Erik’s living situation.
Tracy Tutor and her boyfriend, Erik Anderson, are “taking a break” from their relationship after three and a half years together.
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent revealed as much on the August 22 episode of Jeff Lewis’ radio show, Jeff Lewis Live. Read on for details.
Tracy Tutor and Erik Anderson’s Separation
The revelation about Tracy and Erik’s relationship came after Jeff said, “Tracy is unfortunately single.”
“Unfortunately? Jesus, Jeff,” Tracy responded with a laugh, prompting Jeff to explain his reasoning for the remark. “Well, I don’t like to see you break up!”
Tracy then explained that they’re “taking a break.” What’s more, Erik moved out of her house about a month ago.
“I actually just sold him a condo,” Tracy shared. “We’re about to close escrow.”
Suffice to say, the split is “very amicable,” she added.
What’s Next for Tracy Tutor’s Love Life
Tracy didn’t provide any additional details about her and Erik’s break, but she did offer a hilarious argument for why she’s better off when she’s in a relationship.
“I need a boyfriend. I should not be single; it’s dangerous for myself, for the city of Los Angeles, and for wherever else I travel to,” Tracy joked. “I make poor decisions left and right. I go out on a Monday night. I stole a car accidentally in the Hamptons. Things just go wrong.”
Tracy Tutor and Erik Anderson’s Relationship Timeline
The former couple began dating back in 2020 after Tracy finalized her divorce from Jason Maltas. They went Instagram official that summer, and in publicly sharing their first photo, Tracy also declared that anyone with “anything negative to say” should “take it somewhere else.”
“Keep it positive,” Tracy continued in the comments section of her post, “or don’t be here.”
The request came after some of Tracy’s followers pointed out her and Erik’s 20-year age difference. Tracy continued to address the criticism throughout their relationship, including in a 2021 sit-down with TODAY’s Maria Shriver.
“That’s really the problem with how society is viewing, you know, dating younger men, or [Erik], you know, dating an older woman,” she said. “What does he quote unquote bring to the table because I’m the financial breadwinner? … Well, the fact that you’re even asking that question is a part of, like, the shift that is the problem. Like, we never ask that question if a man is making more money than the woman.”
Tracy followed up the interview with an Instagram post in which she thanked fans for supporting her after she began to open up about her love life on MDLLA. “I want to say thank you all of you who have not put me in a box and value my personal experience being shared on our show,” she captioned her post, which featured a photo of her and Shriver, as well as a video from their interview. “I’ve received countless messages about how you feel like there is a bit of a double standard when it comes to women dating younger men. I feel you and I think now, more than ever, it’s time to say F--K it.”
Another point Tracy regularly made when discussing her and Erik’s relationship was how supportive he was of her career. As she put it in 2021, “He’s very supportive of me, and he’s kept me really focused … It’s been great to have a man in my life that’s supportive of my career, which doesn’t really ever stop or slow down. I think ultimately that was a tough part about my marriage to Jason. Being as successful as I was can interfere a lot with the male ego. It’s just nice to have someone in my life that isn’t affected by that. [Erik] has just been a very positive influence in my life, which you wouldn’t think would happen with someone as young as him.”
Speaking of marriage, Tracy shared her thoughts about taking that step with Erik back in January on Watch What Happens Live after host Andy Cohen asked if she had plans to walk down the aisle again. Her response? “Been there, done that.”
“Listen, he’s 28 years old. I’m 47… it’s just not in the cards,” Tracy said. “But that’s OK, and we’re living our best life today.”
