ICYMI: Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, March 22, and while chatting with Andy Cohen about a number of subjects, they opened up about their lives today.
Jax and Brittany stopped by to talk about their new podcast, When Reality Hits, and during their appearance in the Clubhouse they shared all the updates on their own reality these days.
Jax and Brittany Share a Marriage and Podcast Career Update
With a new podcast and nearly four years of marriage in the books, Jax shared some details about their life today. “We’re very, very much in love and we’re very, very happy. We got a beautiful home, a beautiful family,” he said. (Jax and Brittany welcomed a son, Cruz, in 2021.) “Life is good. I can’t complain.”
An Update on Jax and Brittany’s Son
Speaking of their son, Brittany revealed that they are passing a Jax tradition on to their little boy. As everyone knows, Jax loves a chunky sweater, and it turns out Cruz does too. Brittany defended her husband’s love of the garb, adding, “Yeah, we even get little mini versions for Cruz.”

Where Jax Stands with His Mom
As viewers saw on Vanderpump Rules in the past, Jax was open about his estrangement from his mom following the passing of his father back in 2017. When speaking with Andy, he revealed where things stand with his mom these days. He confirmed that he “really texted her two weeks ago.“
“We haven’t spoken since our marriage, since our son, nothing, so it’s starting,” he said. “I would have felt bad if Cruz would have got older and said, ‘Dad, did you try? Did you try to reach out to your mom?’ I just feel like I would have kicked myself if I didn’t do it.”

On the WWHL After Show (clip at the top of the post), Jax also opened up about where he stands with Lisa Vanderpump today since they had a recent run-in after not seeing each other for a while. You can hear all the details on the catch-up for yourself, above.
By the way, nostalgia was also on the agenda when Jax surprised Andy with a gift in the form of — you guessed it — his “original” chunky sweater, framed. “This is amazing,” Andy proclaimed, adding that it will be displayed in the hallway. “We are honored to have it.”
