In a preview for RHOP Season 8, Episode 17, airing on March 17, Wendy gives viewers a look inside of the work that she is putting in to shoot the pilot of her talk show, as seen in the clip above. But, she has one small problem — she's just a little over budget.

"The budget is gone, okay," Wendy explains, before flashing to a shot of her husband, Eddie Osefo, writing her a check for $50,000. "We have exceeded the 20k budget."

There's a good reason for Wendy going over budget. "The theme of my pilot is Black Girl Magic," she explains in the clip. This means that Wendy has to pull out all of the stops in terms of getting guests for the show's debut episode in order to make a lasting impression on viewers.

"When you're a commentator, you have the privilege of giving your five-minute take on something and leaving," Wendy explains. "But when it's your show, the success depends on whether people tune in to me."

Despite being worried about going over budget, Wendy's talk show, The Dr. Wendy Show, is officially live. Wendy uploads episodes to her YouTube channel every Monday at 4 p.m., where she discusses everything from "politics, to pop culture, to family life, to news of the day, and even sprinkle in some RHOP tea."

"This talk show is going to speak to everything," she said in the pilot, uploaded to her YouTube channel in November 2023. "But let this first episode with you guys just be real."

"I don't have it all figured out," she continued. "I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know if it's going to work. But what I do know is I have something in my heart that keeps me up every day and every night. And that something has been in my heart for a long time."

In addition to uploading episodes every week, Wendy has been busy making appearances doing public speaking, appearing on other talk shows, hanging out with Vice President Kamala Harris, and raising her three children, as seen on her Instagram feed.

See more of Wendy on The Real Housewives of Potomac on Bravo on Sundays at 8/7c. Stream the episode the next day on Peacock.
