Friendships are always changing on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Case in point: Nene Leakes started off Season 11 pretty tight with everyone in the ATL crew. But by the time the reunion rolled around, she wasn't having it with many of the Georgia Peaches and even host Andy Cohen.
Now that it's been a few months since the filming of the RHOA Season 11 reunion, Nene is taking a good, hard look at her life, especially when it comes to the people with whom she surrounds herself. "Climbed in bed a little bit earlier than usual. I wanted to pray and center myself," Nene recently shared on Instagram. "I feel like there’s a lot going on around me."
She then dropped some knowledge on what she's learned about the kind of people who should — and shouldn't — be in your life. "You want people around you who will bring out the BEST in you. Those that believe in you and will go the extra mile for you," Nene wrote in the post. "Remember the old saying 'it only takes 1 rotten apple to spoil the whole bunch' and those are the people you can’t let into your core circle! Pay attention to those who don’t clap when you win! Someone in my circle once told me everyone connected to you, might not be committed to you! Turns out it was THEM."
Nene didn't mention any specific names in her post, so it's unclear who she was referring to in the note and if she was talking about the RHOA squad at all.
What we do know is that several of Nene's fellow Atlanta Housewives didn't seem too thrilled with her behavior toward the end of Season 11, and her friendships appeared to remain strained even after the reunion. Eva Marcille said Nene acted "cold" at the sit-down, while Cynthia Bailey continued to express exasperation over her falling-out with Nene in the Season 11 finale. And it seems as though the arrival of Porsha Williams' first child hasn't done much to ease tensions between these onetime peachy pals, either.
