We Finally Know Who Luann Thinks Her Singing Sounds Like, and We Were Not Expecting That

The RHONY cabaret singer's comparison took us by surprise.

When Luann de Lesseps and John Oliver appeared on the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show, they discussed everything from the latest Real Housewives of New York City drama to Joe Exotic. As per usual, host Andy Cohen took some questions from viewers at home — and one question in particular provided us with a brand new perspective of Luann's singing style.

By now, we all know that the "Feelin' Jovani" singer has her own cabaret show called Countess and Friends. Every artist deals with comparisons in some way, but who does Luann compare her own singing voice to these days?

Andy got the scoop, of course. In the video above, he introduces a viewer's question and asks the RHONY 'Wife, "Historically, what songstress would you compare yourself to?"

Luann takes a second to think and firmly replies, "Ute Lemper."

"I love it! Alright," Andy responds.

Luann's answer totally took us by surprise! In case you didn't know, Ute is a German singer with a powerful voice who actually appeared as Sally Bowles in a Paris production of Cabaret. No wonder Luann compares herself to this icon!
