Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke Reveal the Real Reason They Wanted to Get Married So Quickly
The Summer House exes admitted to being "adamant" about tying the knot in fall 2023 before calling off their engagement.
Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke called off their engagement two months before they were set to get married in Mexico, but it turns out that the Summer House pair never really considered postponing the wedding even as they were experiencing a slew of pre-marital issues.
They revealed as much on the Season 8, Episode 7 of the Summer House After Show.
Why didn't Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke push back their wedding?
Lindsay shared that she was frequently asked about delaying her wedding but never considered it as an option. “The reason I always said no is because I truly believed relationships take work, partnership takes work, marriage takes work…” she said. “I’m just like, yeah, we’re still gonna be figuring things out, and 50 years from now, there’s gonna be another set of issues…”
Carl, meanwhile, confessed that he was open to changing their wedding date to January; however, Lindsay was “adamant” about getting married in the fall. “I realized right there, basically, we’re doing this now because she wants to have children,” Carl explained. He went on to share how he was aware of Lindsay’s “biological clock,” but he thought they needed to resolve other “factors” in their relationship beforehand. “Again, I understand that, but also we need to make sure that we’re right and got the right parts and pieces before we even go to that next phase.”
Lindsay has also stated before that she was indeed eager to start a family.

In the end, Lindsay and Carl ultimately ended their relationship for good in September 2023.
Why Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke Broke Up
Back in March, the exes revealed in separate appearances on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen why they decided to part ways after being together for three years.
When appearing on WWHL, Lindsay opened up about how her excitement to start a family played a part in her troubles with Carl, saying, “I was always putting the priority of the family first, rather than like, 'Am I gonna get along or be compatible with the actual partner?'”
Carl, on the other hand, mentioned how his and Lindsay’s relationship wasn’t “stable” enough to go the distance. "I think a wedding is to celebrate your relationship, and there were foundational things that were not stable to move forward with a lifetime of marriage..." Carl said in the Bravo Clubhouse.
