Bethenny Frankel Reflects on Her RHONY Departure with a Special Message for Andy Cohen
Bethenny Frankel reacts to the WWHL host's comments that "you can’t get out" of the Housewives family.
Like all of us, Andy Cohen was sad to hear the news that Bethenny Frankel is exiting The Real Housewives of New York City for the second time in her life as one of the Real Housewives — but he did leave open the door for her to return to the franchise if she wants.
He offered up his theory on the matter, sharing he had an "overwhelming feeling about Bethenny leaving New York, and I told her this ... that I am so grateful that she came back... She already left is what we need to remember. We were so lucky to have these last seasons with her on them. It was so fun to have her back, and she brought so much to the show that I just am living in the gratitude of her second return. And I will hopefully live in the gratitude of her third return because we are much like the mob. You can’t get out. I do hope and think that she will come back some time... Who knows?”
So when Bethenny chatted with ET at the Emmys, she offered her take on his assessment: "You know, I love Andy. I love Bravo. They took out an ad yesterday to congratulate me on everything BStrong is doing, so it's great to have good relationships and I will always be a member of the Bravo family."
While hitting the red carpet at Sunday's event, she also chatted with PEOPLE about her departure.
So, what will she miss most about hanging with the RHONY crew? “I miss the humor,” the Skinnygirl mogul told the publication. “I miss the satire.”
Since sharing the news of her RHONY departure over the summer, Bethenny has, as she mentioned, focused her time on her relief and charity efforts. She's also working on several other projects as part of her multi-year development deal with MGM Television and Mark Burnett. "We have two shows that already have offers. One of them is the continuation of my story with a business twist. It's a docu-competition show," Bethenny said on the Emmys red carpet speaking to Variety. "And then the other one I'm producing, it's about a group of hilarious women. It's soft-scripted."
As for her connection to Bravo and RHONY, she added in her interview with ET this past weekend: "I have had such a great experience, Bravo has been such an amazing partner, and I'm always rooting for the women, and what a great journey I've had. So, this is the next chapter."
