What is it with Saturday Night Live stars getting stuck with huge tabs? After Pete Davidson paid a huge tab for a dinner with Kanye West, alum David Spade found himself paying a $9,000 check for Adam Sandler's dinner. How did he get himself into this very expensive predicament? Spade himself explained it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. 

While on the show, Spade explained that his pal Sandler "always" buys him dinner. ("His wallet's about 10 feet tall," he joked.) So, when Spade spotted Sandler at a restaurant one evening, he decided to return the favor. After chatting with the comedian and his pals at the "fancy" spot, Spade told the staff to put Sandler's bill on his tab. 

"The next day, Identity Guard calls me and says, ‘Someone stole your card,’” Spade shared. “‘There was some $9,000 dinner last night.’ I go, ‘That was me.’” Whoops! 

The lesson here: Generosity never pays! Kidding, kidding. But, um, maybe just send your pals a bottle of wine or a lovely appetizer if you want to treat them? It's worth considering.
