Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Shares a New Look Inside Her Gorgeous Encino House
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum gives new details about the 7-bedroom home she moved into last year.
Last year, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave moved into a 7-bedroom, 7-bathroom Encino home and gave a peek around the property via Instagram Stories. Now, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is sharing new details about the gorgeous 8,500-square-foot abode, as well as photos, which you can see here.
In a recent interview with Ventura Blvd, Teddi and her husband, Edwin Arroyave, opened up about what led them to sell their former Hollywood Hills house and move into this home in particular. “Once I had the baby I was like, ‘I can’t be in a pandemic with a newborn, no backyard and hanging over the side of a cliff,’” Teddi recalled. Edwin added, “The moment I walked in [to the new house] and saw all the pocket doors, especially the one that frames the entire backyard—with that view straight through to the pool and giant waterfall cascading off the pool house roof—I fell in love with it.”
The stunning backyard also features an outdoor cooking setup, a pickleball court, multiple play areas, and a covered lounge. While Teddi spends plenty of time in their home gym, which is just steps away from the 50-by-17-foot pool, she also loves the kitchen. “From here I can see everything,” she said while talking about the open room with two marble-topped islands. “I can see in the back, I can see my kids in the playroom, and if there’s a game on, we can watch it."
As seen in the photos, plenty of gorgeous art adorns the walls of the home. One piece is particularly special to the family, a portrait of Teddi and Edwin's daughter Slate painted by Teddi's father, John Mellencamp. “It was our housewarming gift,” Teddi shared.
The move to a new house has been positive for the entire family, Teddi explained: "The kids love it. The Valley has great schools, and being able to walk to everything—it’s great. We’ve built a good community here.”
