Joe Gorga Celebrated His Birthday with a 4-Tier, Italy-Inspired Cake (PHOTO)
The RHONJ husband’s celebration at his Jersey Shore home also included “the best” cookies and an incredible mozzarella tower.
Recently, Joe Gorga took a “magical” trip to Italy with his wife, Melissa Gorga. And later, The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband brought a taste of Italy to his vacation house at the Jersey Shore. During a festive birthday celebration for Joe, there was a thematic spread filled with classic Italian snacks — and the cake was perfectly on brand. Joe Gorga’s Epic Italian Birthday Cake
For Joe’s special day, local bakery Epic Cookies & More whipped up an incredible four-tier cake. The confection was decked with an Italian flag, bunches of grapes, illustrations of gondoliers, and a replica of the Colosseum. The cake also had a layer designed to look like a wine barrel, while another was decorated with a golden cutout of Italy.
That’s not the only treat the bakery provided. In her Instagram Stories, Melissa showed a giant spread of cookies — including frosted cookies, pignoli cookies, and the sprinkle cookies she’s known to love. In her caption, the boutique owner wrote, “Literally the best cookies I’ve ever had.”
Joe Gorga’s Italian Spread
There were more than sweet treats to snack on. Instagram Stories from Joe’s birthday party showed a huge variety of Italian eats, including cheeses, breads, olives, and more. There was a mozzarella tower from Clemente Bakery, and bread letters spelling out “pizza,” “pasta,” and “ciao.”
According to an Instagram post that several of the vendors shared, the bash also included pizza and barbecue trucks, a live DJ, and a photo booth. Take a look inside the birthday celebration below.
Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga travel to Italy
As mentioned, Melissa and Joe recently had Italian food straight from the source. Back in July, the couple talked about their upcoming trip on an episode of Melissa’s On Display podcast. The pod was recorded days before they arrived in Positano.
“This is technically not our honeymoon. It’s our relaxation time,” Melissa explained. “Joe and I are going to Positano and Capri. We are very excited about it.”
Melissa also said: “Fun fact: Joe’s been to Italy, I’ve been to Italy, [but] we’ve never been to Italy together. So this is a first for us.” The trip came shortly before the parents of three celebrated their 19th anniversary on August 20.
On July 27, the Gorgas shared videos and photos from their Positano jaunt, which Melissa described as “magical.” Pictures showed her posing on a terrace with hillside homes in the backdrop, and also provided a peek at a mouthwatering pasta dish at Chez Black. The couple shared stunning videos of their water excursions, as well as a few snaps of Le Sirenuse, the uber-luxurious hotel they stayed in.
