Caroline Manzo Nails the Problem With Trying to Eat Right When Kids Are Around
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum falls prey to the unrelenting temptation of "all the fun snacks."
Caroline Manzo knows her way around a tempting, balanced meal. Consider that, recently, when we were at home watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with sauce slopping out of Chinese takeout containers on our lap, the Manzo'd with Children matriarch was whipping up a delightful, homemade weeknight dinner of goat cheese medallions with arugula, walnuts, peppers, and raspberry vinaigrette. (We might have felt a bit shamed.)
But we were encouraged to know that she's clearly human when it comes to the temptations the rest of us face, especially when kids — and their binge-inspiring processed salty snacks — are in the house.
Posting a snap of a giant Costco-sized vat of Goldfish crackers on Instagram, Caroline wrote, "I bought these for my granddaughter Markie. I haven’t stopped eating them. She’s now old enough to enjoy all the fun snacks — these are dangerous times for Grandma."
Oh, we hear you, Caroline — we truly do. We fight the battle of the chocolate-chip granola bars every day of our lives.
