Jill Zarin Says an Emotional "Final Goodbye" to Her NYC Apartment
The Real Housewives of New York City alum has left the home she shared with her late husband, Bobby, for 19 years.
Jill Zarin walked through the New York City apartment she shared with her late husband, Bobby Zarin, for the last time on Wednesday and said an emotional goodbye.
"This was a great home for us," she said in a video posted to her Instagram Stories.
She took one last walk through her daughter Ally Shapiro's old bedroom; Ally just got her first apartment in New York City after graduating from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London.
"Goodbye, Ally, you grew up here in this room. You spent your whole childhood in this gorgeous room! You always had the best view. I was a little bit jealous," she narrated. And so are we, now that we've seen what Ally got to gaze out at every single day as a kid.
The recently-renovated three-bedroom, four-bathroom, 2,000-square-foot apartment was listed for sale for nearly $3.3 million in October. In an Instagram post, Jill wrote that she is "downsizing and completely changing my surroundings."
"I am sad and cried this weekend but as Bobby told me many times.. life is like a book and when 1 chapter ends a new one begins," she wrote. "As painful as it’s been to lose someone I loved so deeply and completely.. Bobby told me before he left me that it’s ok to fall in love again and he wants me to happy more than anyone. There will only be 1 Bobby Zarin. I promise never to forget you and I know you are my guardian angel."
