Kelly Bensimon Is Getting Married: "I Never Thought That I Could Be So Happy"

The Real Housewives of New York City alum Kelly Killoren Bensimon is set to travel to St. Bart’s in the Caribbean for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 5, but it turns out that she's also headed down the aisle with her boyfriend, Scott Litner.

Who is Kelly Bensimon's fiancé Scott Litner?
Kelly Bensimon announced in July that she had gotten engaged to her boyfriend, Scott Litner, after a year of dating.
"He's just a really genuine, nice, kind person. He has a beautiful family, and is great with my girls, and is just a very grounded. You know, I'm a very grounded girl — I just have ungrounded tendencies. But I typically have my feet on the ground, and he does too. So we just get along really, really well,” the model told People in December 2023. "When I first met him, I didn’t even say anything. I was speechless — which is not like me, I always have something to say. But he blew me away. He’s just a really special human."
Kelly Bensimon and Scott Litner's Engagement
Kelly announced her engagement to E! News on July 10, telling the publication, "I never thought that I could be so happy at this stage in my life, this is truly a new beginning. We have a romance that people write novels about."
Kelly even shared a few details about the proposal, which took place over the Fourth of July weekend during the couple's getaway in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin — a place that holds sentimental value for her. As she put it, "I was so moved that he brought me to a special place from my childhood to propose."
More specifically, Scott proposed with a custom-made emerald-cut, five-carat ring during a romantic boat ride.
When are Kelly Bensimon and Scott Litner getting married?
The first of Kelly’s weddings will take place June 22, 2024 in the backyard of Litner’s family home, she told People.
But, she is planning multiple weddings: a smaller ceremony for those closest to her; and a big celebration where extended family and friends can participate.
"Why have one when you can have two?" she joked. "So we're working on setting dates for all of that."
Although the second wedding isn’t on the calendar yet, it’ll take place in the Hamptons.
Who is Kelly Bensimon's ex-husband?
As RHONY fans may recall, Kelly was previously married to fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon from 1997 to 2006. Today, they share two daughters: 25-year-old Sea and 23-year-old Teddy.

What has Kelly Bensimon been up to since RHONY?
In addition to recently getting engaged, Kelly is keeping busy as a real-estate broker: She joined Douglas Elliman — the prestigious firm that also counts Million Dollar Listing New York's Fredrik Eklund among its agents — in August 2019. And it's safe to say she's been super successful. In 2021, for example, Page Six reported that Kelly had sold $50 million worth of real estate in just three months.
In May 2023, it was confirmed that RHUGT Season 5 is also RHUGT: RHONY Legacy. The show is set to reunite Kelly and her fellow New York icons in Saint Barthélemy.
RHONY: Legacy will premiere Thursday, December 14 on Peacock. The first three episodes will be available on the day of the premiere, with new episodes available on Thursdays following the premiere week.
