Luann de Lesseps Reveals Secret Ingredient in Her Legendary Eggs a La Francaise
While self-isolating in Sag Harbor, The Real Housewives of New York City cast member revealed how to make her famous eggs.
Luann de Lesseps is self-isolating at her Sag Harbor home, and when she's not washing her hands for a full 20 seconds, she's whipping up some comfort food in the form of a European-tinged snack.
The cabaret star's "Eggs a la Francaise" have become something of a legend amongst The Real Housewives of New York City fans (see their Season 7 debut in the clip above). And for any home chefs looking for simple recipe ideas, Luann shared exactly how to make the dish in a short cooking tutorial that her daughter Victoria filmed.
Standing in front of the tiled backdrop in her country kitchen, the former countess was making eggs up for dinner. (They're not just for breakfast, people!) She turned the dinnertime moment into a PSA: "Reminding you all, you've gotta whip up those eggs really good, add a splash of water ... that makes it frothy. People say, water, what?" Please note: There is no milk in this recipe.
Luann added some more tips: "The key is having your saucepan," she said. "No frying pan! Get some butter in there ... and you want to cook it very slowly, because you want it to be fluffy. The key is stirring it very slowly and constantly, on low."
She added that she was "making the best" of her downtime, and the kitchen scene is undeniably cozy. Watch Luann share the full recipe in the clip below:
