Will Antonia Gorga Leave New Jersey for Good? “I’m Not Following Anybody”

Antonia Gorga is heading to Delaware for college on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but does she ever plan to return to The Garden State?

By Jill Sederstrom

Antonia Gorga may be saying goodbye to The Garden State as she heads to college — but the 18-year-old isn’t planning to permanently cut her Jersey roots any time soon.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

As the Gorga family gathered to celebrate Antonia’s 18th birthday and impending departure to University of Delaware in an all-new preview for the upcoming episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, her mother, Melissa Gorga, had one major — and relatable — caveat to sending her daughter off to school.

What will Antonia Gorga do after college?

While Antonia is unsure about her career plans, it seems like she doesn't plan to stay away from Jersey for good.

I’m just saying I don’t care who you meet or what boy you meet, you’re not allowed to stay there,” Melissa told her only daughter.

“He can follow me, I’m not following anybody,“ Antonia assured her.

With the major milestone just around the corner, Melissa and her hubby, Joe, were feeling sentimental as they raised a glass to their oldest child at the family birthday bash.

“Antonia, we’re toasting to you today because I honestly can’t believe that you’re 18, but I’m really so proud of, like, who you are, because you’re my only daughter and I love you so much,” Melissa said before breaking into tears.

Antonia playfully tried to get her mom in check, holding up her hand and telling her “no,” before Melissa continued.

“And I can’t believe you’re leaving me and I’m going to miss everything about you,” she added before hugging her daughter.

She wasn’t the only one feeling unprepared for the rite of passage. Joe admitted it was just “like yesterday” that his daughter was born.

“Melissa got pregnant with Antonia within two months [of when] we got married, so we were trying to figure out who we were as a couple, while also trying to figure out how to be parents,” he said of the unique bond they have with Antonia.

“This is my baby girl off to college and I’m having it rough,” he admitted to producers.

How is Antonia Gorga doing at college?

The transition may not have been easy for her parents, but Antonia seems to be thriving in college. In August, she shared a TikTok video of her dorm room all decked out in a cozy white and gray theme.

“Move in day,” she captioned the video alongside a purple heart.

The college freshman also joined the Alpha Phi sorority in February.

“New home,” she captioned a photo carousel on Instagram marking the milestone.

Antonia and two of her new sorority sisters are seen posing in matching green long sleeve T-shirts, jeans, and white tennis shoes, holding up a sign that says, “Welcome to the Ivy League,” in a nod to the sorority’s symbol, which is an ivy leaf.

Her proud mama also reposted the images, along with a sweet tribute to her daughter.

“And just like that she's in a sorority,” Melissa wrote. “Congratulations my girl!  I'm so excited for you and this sisterhood.”

To watch as Antonia heads off to begin her journey, tune in to The Real Housewives of New Jersey Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo or available streaming the next day on Peacock.
