Steve Gold and Luiza Gawlowska Are on the Opposite Ends of the Parenting Spectrum
The Million Dollar Listing New York power agent and his beloved make it work for their new baby Rose Gold.
Steve Gold shocked his fans when he revealed on June 6 that his girlfriend, Luiza Gawlowska, whom the public didn't know was pregnant, had given birth to their daughter, Rose Gold.
"It’s been so tough to keep such a big part of my life under wraps, and I want to thank everyone who respected our privacy along the way," the Million Dollar Listing New York power agent wrote in an Instagram post. "But now, after staring down and seeing those perfect little eyes looking back up at me for the first time makes me so excited for this incredible new chapter. I can’t wait for all the adventures and memories we are going to make."
Now that the word is out, the new parents have spilled even more tea about their parenting styles. For example, Rose has allowed Steve to slow down from work for the moment.
“For the first time in my career, I’ve been able to put everything on hold and just really be present in the moment with Luiza and my child,” he told Us Weekly. “I’ve found that even without sleeping, I have a sense of calm and focus that I’ve never had in my entire life.”
Luiza has noticed that their styles are really different. “I’m very protective and germaphobic,” she said to Steve. “You’re more chill.”
“I’m just a little more relaxed," he replied. "As soon as she cries, Luiza will pick her up, whereas I could wait a little bit longer. But I think that’s a good balance to have with parents.”
Where both parents overlap in their styles is that they ultimately both want Rose to be their homie.
"I wanted to be a young mom," Luiza, 26, explained. "I want her to be my best friend."
"I hope Rose can always come to me and feel that she can talk to me about anything and everything," Steve (who's 34) added.
Finding out that Rose was coming didn't feel real to the couple at first.
"It was an overjoyed moment," he recalled. "Both of us have always wanted a family, and at first it was, like, disbelief. Then it kind of settled in."
Now Rose is here, and it sounds like her parents couldn't be happier or more involved.
