Why Captain Kerry Thinks Kyle Dickard Is a “Threat to the Safety” of the Crew
The Below Deck Adventure captain is weighing his options when it comes to the deckhand’s fate as a crew member.
Kyle Dickard’s position on Captain Kerry Titheradge’s crew may be in jeopardy based on this sneak peek of next Tuesday’s all-new Below Deck Adventure.
The clip begins with Captain Kerry and bosun Lewis Lupton discussing the deckhand’s behavior. “Today, Nathan [Morley] was really, really upset because Kyle started threatening him with violence,” the captain says. “I feel that he is a threat to the safety of other crew members.”
Lewis admits he’s “upset” by what happened, especially since he was rooting for Kyle. “I was gonna save him — he is the most experienced and I would’ve liked him to be the lead deckhand,” Lewis explains. “I mentioned it to him; I said, you know, if he could behave more professionally, it’s his to lose.”
Unfortunately, though, Kyle is “consistently crossing the line,” Lewis adds.
Captain Kerry agrees, responding, “When I bring this up with Kyle, he has the right to explain himself, but these actions are grounds for instant dismissal.”
That leaves Lewis feeling conflicted. As he explains in a confessional, “He’s definitely not the picture-perfect crew member, but Kyle is experienced enough that I could learn something from him. I need him on deck, and I hope this conversation goes well with Kerry. I hope Kyle can turn this around.”
We get a glimpse of their conversation in the sneak peek, but to find out Kyle’s fate as a crew member, you’ll have to tune in to the new episode of Below Deck Adventure.
