Kate Chastain Reveals Captain Lee Rosbach’s Least Favorite Crew Members of All Time

ICYMI (though we’re not sure how you would have missed this news), Kate Chastain is expecting her first baby and now she’s spilling new baby formula about her pregnancy. She may have stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday, March 27, to celebrate Captain Lee Rosbach and a decade of Below Deck, but she also offered up a sweet update on her pregnancy.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

“I’m due soon. I can’t wait,” she shared during her virtual appearance in the WWHL Clubhouse. Of course, fans have been able to go on Kate’s pregnancy journey with her via her appearances and commentary on Below Deck Galley Talk, where she is seen alongside her longtime BFF chef Ben Robinson, who also made a cameo on WWHL (check it out above).

On Monday’s WWHL, it was also revealed that Kate and Ben live in the same building, which should make it easy for Kate to give Ben a call if she ever needs a last-minute babysitter. Kate also has feelings about her Galley Talk appearances amid her pregnancy: “I love how I’ve been able to commemorate the miracle of creating life on [Galley Talk] and by ‘miracle of creating life’ I mean watching my bra size quadruple.”

Kate has also been sharing a lot of updates on Twitter as she counts down the days until she welcomes her kid. “Week 32 of pregnancy: I am so tired of treating my body like a childcare temple of health,” she wrote. “I can’t wait to have just one night where I can treat my body like this place: [photo of the SUR alley].”

“Pregnancy is so exciting; one minute you think it’s all cute and funny that you’ve been really enjoying chewing ice lately and the next minute a [Google] search on the topic has you convinced you’re going to die of anemia,” she recently joked on Twitter. “FUN.”

(In fact, there are many, many observations that Kate has been sharing.)

Kate has also been keeping busy mixing it up with the Bravo family ahead of the baby’s arrival. In fact, she was spotted hanging out with Jill Zarin, Marysol Patton, and Captain Sandy Yawn at an event recently. “She looks radiant and ready for anything. If she can handle a yacht with demanding primaries and guests … this should be a piece of cake,” Jill joked on Instagram after meeting up with Kate, adding, “Except guests have to leave! Lol.”

Kate previously confirmed that she’s due on May 8. And around the time of the pregnancy announcement late last year, she was feeling the love of her longtime friend and former boss, Captain Lee, who said, “I have no doubt she’s going to be a great mom,” adding that he “couldn’t be more elated” for Kate. “She’s taken on a big challenge, but she’s more than up to it,” Lee said. “And I don’t think I’ve ever seen her this happy.”

And, of course, Kate’s career as a chief stew was the perfect primer for motherhood, as she previously shared, “I think being a chief stew really trained me for it."

Kate, who is currently single, added that she has a lot of folks around to help her raise her tot. “I’m doing it solo and perhaps with some help,” Kate said. “But I’m happy to do it alone.”

Overall, Kate shared during another WWHL appearance back in January, that she always wanted to be a mom and feels “so lucky.” “It’s been the easiest pregnancy ever. Well, my only,” she said. “But yeah, very easy.”
