Danielle Cabral Reveals the Advice Caroline Manzo Gave Her Before Joining RHONJ: “Buckle Up”
The Season 13 newbie turned to the RHONJ alum, who happens to be an extended family member, for some words of wisdom.
Before Danielle Cabral officially joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey for Season 13, she sought advice from one very knowledgeable family member: Caroline Manzo.
As Teresa Giudice revealed on the Season 13 premiere back in February, Danielle is uniquely related to the RHONJ alum (and as a result to Dina Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita as well).
“I met Danielle because Danielle’s stepmom was married to Caroline Manzo’s brother,” Teresa explained about how she initially became close with the Boujie Kidz founder.
Though Danielle and Caroline aren’t blood relatives, the mom of two still turned to the Manzo’d with Children cast member for some words of advice ahead of her RHONJ debut.
Danielle recalled what Caroline told her during the May 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “She said, ‘It’s going to be the best of times and the worst of times, so pretty much buckle up,’” Danielle shared about how Caroline looks back on her RHONJ days (she was a cast member on the first five seasons).
Host Andy Cohen then wondered if Danielle felt that Caroline’s advice was accurate now that she has most of her first season under her belt. Her response? “Oh yeah, she was right.”
The Season 13 newbie went on to share that she’s still in touch with her former step-aunt Caroline, but she had an unfortunate update to share on WWHL about her relationship with a different family member.
On RHONJ, Danielle has been open about the fact that she no longer speaks with her brother after he got upset with her for blocking him on social media. Most recently, on Episode 14, Danielle tearfully discussed how much she wants to reconcile with her brother.
“It consumes you when you wish you had a relationship and a life that you once knew,” she said, noting that she would be receptive to rebuilding their relationship. “It’s so far gone and it’s so much hurt, but if my brother called, if that boy ever showed up, yeah. I don’t know where he’s been. Maybe he’s lost somewhere. But if he showed up, yeah.”
Fast-forward to her appearance on WWHL, and Danielle confirmed that the two remain on the outs.
“Still no,” Danielle revealed about whether she’s been in touch with her brother.
